#Regram #RG @amazonwatch: The Kichwa community of Sarayaku in Ecuador live in close harmony with their Amazon rainforest home. But explosives left on their territory during oil exploration by a private company put them in harms way, and new oil concessions further threaten them and their rainforest home. Today, Sarayaku leaders took their case to the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, denouncing the government's noncompliance with a 2012 Court ruling ordering it to work with the community to remove the explosives and to thoroughly consult with them before issuing any new concessions.
